As a CDS Technical Field Engineer, you will be covering multi-vendor equipment HP ProLiant & Blade servers right up to Gen 10 & IBM P series will be based out of Croydon and will be required to cover Watford if required, 24 hours a day, /7 day a week, 365 days a year. You will be working a rota based on both 12-hour day and night shifts.
Responsible for the delivery of solutions within the named accounts, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Installations, maintenance, and repairs on customer equipment on a 24x7x365 on-site cover.
- Understandings customer goals; identifying consequences of various solutions.
- Configuring system hardware & software. Assembling and integrating system/product and verifying's system/product operation.
- Uses proactive monitoring procedures to identify problem-prevention opportunities.
- Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by clarifying customer needs and ensuring that they are met. Handles customer-relations problems promptly and appropriately.
- Ensuring all calls are resolved within the agreed SLA, ensuring calls are escalated when required and customers are updated until the call is resolved and closed.
- The ability to communicate at all levels.

- Strong interpersonal skills and high awareness of customer needs.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Perform duties at a team leader level.
Required skills and attributes:
- Must have very strong knowledge of HP ProLiant & Blade servers right up to Gen 10 & IBM P series.
- HP server accreditation preferred.
- Use of Service Now
- The ability to communicate at all levels.
- Display calmness and the ability to solve problems under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills and high awareness of customer needs.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
- IBM server knowledge especially ‘P’ Class and Blade servers.
- Dell PowerEdge.
- FSM knowledge
- Service Now call handling system knowledge.
