An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. We are currently seeking a graduate trainee in Communications to be based in Winnersh (Reading) with remote working availability. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.15pm to start ASAP.

 

The successful candidate will be part of the UKI HR team, reporting to UKI Head of HR and will support internal communications activities across the UK and Ireland.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of innovative communication campaign plans across digital, social and print media
  • Contribute to the creation of a regular company magazine to promote events, projects, company strategy, news and initiatives to a wide audience of employees
  • Engage with various functions and representatives across the UK&I business to capture latest news and developments to be reflected in internal communications
  • Review, edit and create various communications content as required
  • Develop both professional and technical skills
  • Exposure to senior leadership and collaboration across the organisation
  • Maintain accurate content for key intranet sites
  • Learn about the brand and the importance of branding

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English Literature or another relevant major
  • High level of English proficiency
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Proof reading – good eye for detail
  • Initiative and self-motivation in working independently
  • Copywriting – ability to write high quality copy in different styles, depending upon the audience and medium
  • Basic Graphic Design skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to motivate others
  • Proactive, with an attitude to make things happen
  • Creative approach to projects
  • Experience with O365 Suite preferred
  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to take an audience-focused view of communications solutions
